This Privacy Policy describes how Roman Inc. (“Roman,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Roman content engine and related services (the “Service”).
What we collect
- Account information: name, email, password hash, and billing details.
- Workspace data: URLs, product or business descriptions, brand voice configuration, writing-style rules, and any content you provide or generate inside the Service.
- Integration data: information from third-party platforms you connect — your CMS (Webflow, Prismic, Framer, WordPress, and others), analytics platforms (Google Search Console), and AI providers needed for the Service to function.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, agent runs, and performance signals.
- Cookies: session cookies for authentication and analytics cookies for product improvement. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser.
How we use it
- To run agents that research, draft, optimize, and publish content for you.
- To monitor performance and surface search-console insights.
- To bill, support, and communicate with you about the Service.
- To improve the Service and develop new features.
Who we share it with
- AI providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) — to run model inference on prompts and inputs you submit.
- Infrastructure providers (database, hosting, payment processing) — to operate the Service.
- CMS and analytics integrations — only to the extent you authorize them.
We do not sell your data. We do not train third-party models on your data.
Retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You can request export or deletion at any time by emailing support@tryroman.app. Deletion removes your data from production systems within 30 days; backups are purged on rolling cycles.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to restrict or object to processing. Email us to exercise these rights and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever experience a breach affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay.
International transfers
Roman is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.
Children
The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
