By using Roman (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. The Service is operated by Roman Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Roman,” “we,” “us”).
1. Account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, and if you sign up on behalf of an organization, you must be authorized to bind it to these Terms.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to generate illegal content.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written authorization.
- Send spam, malware, or abusive content through the Service.
- Use the Service to infringe anyone's intellectual property rights.
3. Content
Your content stays yours. You own the content you provide and the content Roman generates for you, subject to the rights of any third-party sources cited or quoted. You grant Roman a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Our Service stays ours. The Service itself — software, agents, designs, and documentation — is owned by Roman Inc. and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers our intellectual property to you.
You are responsible for your content. You represent that you have the rights to the inputs you submit, and that your use of generated content complies with applicable laws and third-party rights.
4. Billing
- Roman is offered on monthly or yearly subscriptions. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.
- You can cancel anytime from the dashboard. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle; the current period continues until it ends.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the change means you accept the new price.
- Late or failed payments may result in suspension of the Service.
5. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may run maintenance, deploy updates, or temporarily restrict access for security or operational reasons.
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms — CMSes, analytics, AI providers, and others. Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms, not ours. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or behavior of third-party services.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant specific ranking outcomes, traffic results, or AI search citations. SEO and AI search are influenced by factors outside our control — we provide tools, not guarantees.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roman's total liability for any claim related to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Roman Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, or expense arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms or for use of the Service that exposes us or other users to risk. You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Content ownership, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Governing law) will survive.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
